Great game! I've been meaning to play it on the PC - with voices! - but somehow I've never got around to it.
Did anyone else play it originally on the Amiga? It was weep-inducingly slow in many parts. Indy took an age to get anywhere and I've no idea why. It was especially bad on Crete, not because it was any slower than other sections, just because it required you to poke around so many different rooms. Opening the Lost Dialogue or looking at the concentric stones took years, too. Still, I suppose it discouraged you from trying every possible combination! I certainly wouldn't put up with that in any game today. It's a testament to the greatness of the game that I completed it several times on the Amiga - at least once for each path! |

Playing it with ScummVM is great, because it run smoothly and quickly, and because you can use the great graphics filters of ScummVM.

I agree, this is a great game. It's just like playing a fourth Indy movie. And the VO is great... the guy who plays Indy almost sounds more like Harrison Ford than Harrison Ford himself.

Oh, by the way, since Huz is mentioning the three paths (another great feature): has anyone be able to beat Arnold (the huge Nazi in the Labyrinth) or the prison guard (in Atlantis)? My points list is still missing 17 points and, based on the way the game sorts the actions required to get points, it seems that winning those two fights is what I need. So, has anybody been able to do it? How many points is it worth? Thanks.

I could never get the game, music & voices to work at the same time.

In fact, I never really understood the way these points work, nor have I ever cared. And the way you get past them is really satisfying in any case... ![]()
