Ahh, the memorable Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders.

I spent so much time with this game back when I still had my old Amiga. The game was very hard, but still so rewarding when I finally managed to complete it.

The intro theme was catchy, I used to hum it all the time. Also some other funny thigns I remember about it, Eddie Van Halen's guitar in the shop, the two-headed squirrel and the bread that was rock-hard.

Also the National Inquisitor newspaper that came with the game was awesome. So much funny material in it.

I must try that game, but the story line sounds boring (Is it??).

I loved what I played of this game, but gave up after reaching the tenth maze ...

Heh the storyline is far from boring

I say that, but if the game was made today, it would probably flop. Today's games are under much harder ridicule. Which is a good thing.

What was the story with the two-headed squirrel? I
Spoiler:
gave it peanuts

at that cave at the beginning, and never saw it again afterwards. Yet, I often see people referring to it as if it were an important running gag in the game or something. Have I missed something?

Spoiler:
It makes its appearance only in that one scene AFAICR...... though killing it with a butter knife (yes, you can do that! ) was obviously so much fun that people remember it to this very day. There had also been an article in the newspaper provided with the game.
