Default Paradise official release date announced!

On the french Paradise website, the official release date has been confirmed: 21 April! (Which is great news as i'm soooo looking forward to this one).

What i wonder though: in which language will this game be released. I mean, nowadays, some adventures are first released in german language, or even spanish before an english version.

Can somebody at adventuregamers clarify this?

In any case, the countdown has begun

I'm not overly fond of the box art (I can't help being reminded of all those paint adverts --- but that's only a French thing, of course), but I'm definitely looking forward to the game.

The box art isn't that important to me anyway... as long as the game is stunning, i'm satisfied

However, i have the impression that MicroApp is pushing Paradise a lot more than Ubisoft. So i'm wondering: will MicroApp release a french version or an English version? (Also, i have the impression that White Birds is mainly a french company? or at least, people from White Birds are answering on the french forums while the english forums remain rather silent).

White Birds is as French as you can get (though Sokal himself is Belgian); they have their offices near Paris. MicroApp is French too, and they'll be publishing the game in some European countries (France, Belgium, Italy, Germany...). UbiSoft (also French, by the way) is the North American publisher. I'm not sure who'll be in charge of the English version (or even who will be publishing the game in the UK). You'll have to wait until Jack wakes up for him to clear that up.

Can we get a link to the site?

Do you know about any fansites to this game? I've been trying to find some..

I'm exited about this game, but I'm also a bit worried, do we know what DRM it's going to use?

MicroApp's site for the game can be found here. I don't know if UbiSoft made one. The box art was posted on the game's forums here. It looks a lot like your avatar.

I'm afraid I don't know about the rest. DRM will depend on the publisher, though (MicroApp put Starforce on the French version of Keepsake, so they'll probably use it for Paradise too; I'm not sure about the other versions).

Yep, Benoit Sokal is from the same country as me. I wonder which language version MicroApp will sell in Belgium... In any case, i hope to see the famous french touch in Paradise

Nope, the now-defunct Microids Canada, the team behind Syberia (with Sokal) were French Canadian. I guess Sokal wanted to cut down on his commute.

Still haven't heard anything about a UK release.

... But Olivier Fontenay, who was the head of that Canadian team, was one of the co-founders of White Birds (which means he's probably the one doing the commuting now).

It's incredible all the stuff you can learn by browsing the company's website.
