Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Fri 7th April 2006

Since nobody's posting a scene today, and I still have a few ideas...

Feeble is so clueless I always feel like hugging him. They should have made Feeble plush toys --- that would have rocked.

Great game! Feeble Files is amazing, but one of the most difficult adventures I've ever played through. The best game that AdventureSoft made in my opinion.

I still haven't played this. Confound the lack of XP support.

It'll be playable with ScummVM, eventually...

Anyway, I've replayed it recently for the first time in years (on an old Win95 computer). It's awfully hard; but not unfair (most of the time).

I didn't like the way the game was organised in huge sections with just puzzles to solve, then 15 minutes of custscenes to move the plot forward, then more puzzles, etc. But some parts are really good, and I like the fact that the game has a bit of variety in the gameplay. And the interaction between Feeble, Del and SAM is probably the best part.

Funny you should say that: Feeble always reminded me of my oldest teddy bear. I mean, color excepted, they could be twins.

I found a copy on Ebay one year ago. It's still waiting for the devs at scummvm to write support into their lovely little software

I never played this but I'd quite like to, seeing as it's by Adventuresoft.

I wonder if anyone could tell me though...would Simon the Sorcerer 3(2D) have used the same engine/interface as Feeble Files? I just thought this might the case seeing as they were probably both quite close together in their development, before Simon 3 was scraped and restarted of course.

The engine used in The Feeble Files is a variant of the one used in all previous AdventureSoft games (Elvira 1 & 2, Waxworks, Simon 1 & 2), though heavily modified (obviously). It seems logical to assume that it'd have been used in Simon 3 as well (in its 2D incarnation).
