Default BBc "Ancient Rome"

To coincide with the BBC broadcasting a new series on Ancient Rome they have launched a FMV stylee mini adventure-ish game.

It's kinda fun for an advert/game.

Wow, that's a rather cool game. Interesting approach habing the plot revolve around some guy who worked on the BBC documentary.

I also liked how the first person view follows the mouse, it makes the first person experience more genuine.

For those of us unable to try it, and it looks very interesting, try SPQR, the fantastic point and click game based on ancient rome with a full model of the city of Rome and a beautiful interface, it is available on line for free with a hosted version, or if you have the original it has great sound track etc. Or try out Caesar I, II, or III....IV coming soon. They are pretty interesting also.

the Free on line version of SPQR (without the neat intro movie and some of the game play) is at:

http://www.ancientworlds.net/aw/SPQR/GamePage

and there is a fantastic model of the entire city of ancient Rome that a French scholar and archeologist Paul Bigot took some 40 years to create up into the 1940's that is now a museum in France at:

Enjoy

Hey, this game is awesome!

Though I have to admit I'm stuck at the cup game in episode 2.
