Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Tues - Dec 19 2006

I found the old four ring binder that i used to store random gaming stuff in as a kid, its quite amazing with cut outs from heaps of different games but funnily enough i loved monkey island and indy the best with the majority of cut outs from monkey island 1 and 2 and indy and the last crusade. HOWEVER there are lots of other random games stuck on there too and some of them i'm yet to recall the names of....

one unfortunate game that didn't really quite make it into ANYBODYS memories... well not for the right reasons anyway... was this game...

i remember finishing it and wondering why i'd wasted my time when i could have been leveling my bards tale party up a few more levels...

but i think for the sole purpose of AGSOTD 19th Dec 2006 we should remember this game, if only for being the sole adventure title created by that company. Funny that :0

A quick, to-the-point review

yes, there you have it.. Oceans once off Adventure game HOOK... made back in the days of the AMIGA when there were LOTS of games based on movie licenses that were utter crap.... VERY few of these were adventures... Hook was one of the few....

and rather funnily your LINK to the rating page..... gets hook a 8/10 lol... obviously we've got some serious HOOK fans there

agreed,

however i think that back in the days of AMIGA platformers [in particular] that the majority of games were actually based on movie licenses... ones that come flashing back without even having to think about them were the indianna jones and the last crusade, batman (vs the joker) and the adams family... the latter of which was probably the best of the worst when it came to movie licensed platformers.. but its all okay because we had Zool and Superfrog in later years which made up for the crap ones.

anyway... Hook definetly hurt to play but being a kid who grew up on adventures like a lot of you others that are around the same age as me.... i played it right thru because as far as i was aware back then adventures WERE computer games....

long live the adventure.
