Code tags

I notice that the vB Code help mentions the usual [code]...[/code] tags, but they seem to be disabled here. It's a shame, really, as they would be quite useful for technical stuff, to make things clearer, and also to prevent C:\ from turning into C

(yes, I know that smileys can be disabled and that [noparse]...[/noparse] may be used, but that does not solve the problem of legibility). Having a button for it next to quote, pan, etc. would be even better, but maybe it wouldn't be that necessary, as it wouldn't be used much.

Well, activating the code tags would be nice anyway. There's at least one person who would use them.

Don't know how often someone will use that feature, but at least three persons seem to like it. If those three persons will get happy by the feature I'm all for it.

There's a link to it at the bottom left of each page. I used to spend five minutes looking for it in the menus and the FAQ whenever I was writing a post and needed it, but I seem to be able to find it quicker now. Repetition is the mother of all learning.

I've seen that stuff at the bottom but haven't played with it. Mind you, I played with php code thingy in that last post but I have no idea what you should really write within those. The only computer stuff I've had was in undergrad and it was a computer programming class (they made me take the hard one-I was a science major

). Man that class was hard.

Now that Doug has added the cute little PHP shortcut, make sure you don't use it instead of the nifty spoiler short cut tag when hiding your spoilers (wink, wink Lucien - that made me giggle though).
