Since when am I not allowed to upload animated avatars? Can veteran users claim exemption from that rule? ...'Cause I've got a nice Christmas avatar prepared.

They must've uploaded them before the rule went into effect. I used to have animated avatars all the time too.

There's a pretty harsh file size limit, but I'm not aware that animated gifs are prevented. I'll soon see when I get around to making my christmas one.

Ok, so the message is, 'You may not upload animated images." I don't know if it exclusively applies to me. I also don't see why someone would place restrictions on my account.

I'm getting the same message when I upload stuff from my computer. How odd...

EDIT: Same problem when I upload a GIF of my own making (of the right size) onto my own webspace and then tell AG to link to it. Any answers, moderators?

I did let know powers-that-be, however, so the matters should soon be investigated into.
