I've been thinking that (maybe) 3rd person point of view might be the best way to enjoy Myst-style puzzles...

Myst games implies exploration, and exploration in 3rd person games can be tedious, because you have to wait for the avatar to move.

That was a good preview. It looks like a really appealing game. Given that it's a fantasy adventure game, I like the fact that you travel with a magical animal companion.

When I started playing the demo (in German, and my German is not very good!) I thought: ``Hmm, it's just walking around and solving stupid puzzles,'' but later on I found out that there's more to this game than just that. I will certainly play it just to find out how `deep' this game is.

Hmm, I don't know if "deep" is a word I'd use to describe Keepsake. The entire game is largely walking around and solving puzzles.
The question is whether or not that works in a particular game. And in Keepsake, I think it does. As I said in the preview, I think it's because they kept their design simple and everything works within its own consistent framework. ![]() |
