Hmmm... Hype-o-meter Archive... I say, it does sound pretty much amazing doesn't it? I know I know.

Heck, we've always had one of those. To access it, just hit your "Print Scrn" key every once in a while.

We've talked about ways to track changes to the H-o-M better, but it hasn't been a high priority. If anything, it wouldn't be a straight archiving, though.

I don't think it would have to be too fancy, just a simple way of accessing previous HoM lists in the main site would suffice. Sure I can do that by going to the forum and searching for previous HoM announcements... but where's the sleekness in that?

The point insn't really tracking how titles have been progessing in the way of Hype... It's just to check which already released games were dearly expected before their release.

You can go to www.archive.org and type in the site's URL to see front pages from the past.

The most recent archives are from the middle of last year. Not sure if they stopped updating or if they're just 6 months behind or what.

Errr, sorry to bump old news up really, but with the superb redesign the website has went through, thought it was about the right time to bring this up again... like I said before, if the problem is figuring out some proper fancy HoM progression tracking system for the games, dump all fanciness and keep it simple: a static listing of previous HoM listings is more than enough for starters... please?

Cheers

We don't have a database archive of past HoM updates. But I do have good news for you. As of the new design, we have a new HoM system that does actually keep a record of every update. Yeah, pretty high tech... Once we're a couple of updates further (so that there's actually something to browse), I'll create a HoM archive.
