I think they're fun and nice change of pace, I personally love all the mini-games within the game and there are usually a nice amount of puzzles ( which I enjoy ).

Colpet you're sooo right about the secret passages and rooms. I love that kind of thing!!

I grew up with Nancy Drew and I was obsessed with the many ND book series so I think there's also an element of familiarity there that draws me in, plus something I just can't put my finger on. Rather like the books. Even as a young teenager I read cleverer mystery books (esp. the Agatha Christie books) but something about ND enthralls me.
I agree as well, their just fun.

I get them for my kids, but I enjoy playing some of them too. Some of them I don't like, but others have been pretty enjoyable.

This game is meh. Highly enjoyable in the first half, then it slowly gets worse and worse and the threads fall apart. If I were someone wanting to buy this game I'd wait until Kapu Cave was released and buy both games packaged together (it's much cheaper to do it that way).

Also BE CAREFUL taking the CDs out of the package! I nearly cracked CD 1 (luckily I just cracked the clear plastic part, not the CD itself), the CD release button wasn't working so I thought I was doing it incorrectly. A lot of people seem to be having the same problem.
