Default So whatever happened to the AG store?

I was just remembering how Adventure Gamers opened their "store" when Telltale Texas Hold'em came out, and at the time it sounded like there were going to be some big plans in the works for it. Now it's been erased from existence. So what's the story behind that?

It just wasn't proving to be worth the trouble to build and maintain it for the microscopic benefit it was providing. The idea itself still has merit, but the timing wasn't (and still isn't) right for it.

Let's stop trying to turn everything into a juvenile sex thread.

Melanie, that kind of store is different than the one Udvarnoky was asking about. An AG swag store is still somewhere on the horizon.

We could use some AG T-shirts.

Those would certainly be offered. As I said, it's still on the agenda. I hoped to have it done this summer, along with another big project, but neither happened (though other important things did).

Maybe we should have an AG update calendar and work it like publishers.

An online shop is a major undertaking, no matter how small. You need someone to specialize in taking all the orders, processing them, and packing and shipping the boxes, answering customer queries, taking care of returns, and updating the store site, as well as coordinating incoming inventory and wotnots, cataloguing, etc.

Hope you guys can set it up. I would love AG patches to sew on a sweater or jacket.

Sex, juvenile? Are you promoting teenage pregnancy?

I'm keeping my eye on you!

As for all the shop malarky, there's always CafePress, that involves practically no effort.

For a t-shirt, I've envisioned a smallish AG logo on the front and on the back have a picture of a man (or a woman or both with your choice). The person has a rubber ducky around his middle, a huge ladder in his back pocket and lots of typical AG inventory items spilling out of his pockets (maps, pieces of paper, keys, a bottle of syrup, a monkey wrench, pens, other classic items from classic games, you get the idea) and the caption, 'If you were an Adventure Gamer, you'd understand.' But I don't sketch people (let alone much of anything) very well.

I know a couple of people who use CafePress and they do good work with minimal imput from their clients. Also a plus is there is no inventory to have to keep up with because it is a per sale printing.

Cafepress is awful quality. Spreadshirt is where it's at, as long as you don't mind using only vector art.

Thank you Tab! Hey since you guys like are in charge of the form is there any way we could get permission to use your logo so I can just print one myself? I would never do this without your permission.

You'd have to ask Marek about high res art. I don't have anything above the resolution you see on the site.
