Why hasn't scavenger hunter been reviewed?

Is it just me or do some new games get priority in getting reviewed and others don't? Some games get reviewed before they come out and some don't even get reviewed 2.5 months after coming out... Only AL and Gameboomers have reviewed it. Just curious as to why.

Because money trumps everything, especially on corporate sites like IGN, Gamespot, 1UP, the list goes on and on. If you're company isn't going to pay the marketing dollars to those corporate sites, your game is either:

A. Going to be reviewed a month or so after it's released and given a poor score
B. Never reviewed at all

So indie devs or devs who have essentially been abandoned by their publishers with no marketing support are left high and dry and must rely on their fans to get the word out about their products.

That's why I was so pleased to find Adventure Gamers, they've reviewed so many games I've never even heard of. If anyone has links to any other sites that review different genres the way AG reviews the adventure genre I'd love to see them.

EDIT: I thought it had been reviewed by AG - perhaps they just forgot it. Or maybe they didn't know it existed. Or maybe they hate it.

This one is my fault... my computer fried itself while I was reviewing it before I had a chance to play much (note: my computer dying had nothing to do with the game!), and my fairly insane university schedule since I bought a replacement has prevented me from finishing the review quite yet.

It's coming, I promise!

Great! Good to hear from someone : ).

I like to support indie developers(with good games). I like to have a ton of reviews so I can see if any happen to mention problems that I particular have problems with(I seem to easily overlook things).

To address your other point, no new game gets "priority" over others. Indie/professional, full game/episodic, each review is assigned as soon as a game is available to us, with the same general timeline for completion. Whether a review is early, late, or somewhere in the middle depends solely on circumstances.

Scavenger Hunter has also been reviewed by Adventure Island (www.adventure-island.nl) but that review is in Dutch so you would need a translator to read it.

Just Adventure has a copy for review but the original reviewer went AWOL earlier in the year and the review duty had to be shuffled off to another reviewer, hence the delay in a review coming from them.

Quandary has indicated that they would like to do a review on the game but apparently had some major web site issues at the beginning of the year which gummed up the works.
