It's about time that AG gets reviews of the Larry games.
I pretty much agree with you about everything you said. I also like LSL6 the most, but I probably would put LSL7 before LSL3 because of the better atmosphere in LSL7. That atmosphere was achieved by the great music, a department in which, as you mentioned, LSL3 is lacking severely.

That's right, thumbs up. I myself actually kind of disliked LSL6 and 7 because they lacked the story telling featured in LSL2 and especially LSL3. The latest two installments lacked a bit of seriousness that make LSL2 and 3 interesting in my opinion...

But nonetheless, "Shape Up" and "Love for Sail" still are excellent games.

I agree about LSL6 and 7 lacking proper story, but IMO the Larry games aren't so much about the story anyway, but more about the humor, and if it's one thing that LSL6 and 7 don't lack it's humor.

I also agree that 6th is the best, followed closely by 3rd. 6, IMO, has the best atmosphere - the atmoshere of leasure, just when you don't have to run around and save the world, but just to relax, enjoy the nice hotel and meet with girls. 7th also was much alike this, but it has that contest, which was the main aim...
And LS3 has a well written plot apart with good humor and original ideas. Also it is harder then other Larry games, which is also good.

I'm surprised that people think there was too little music in LSL3. It was a veritable musical compared to LSL2! What's more, Mike Dana's score still stands as one of the best soundtracks composed for the series.

No, ofcourse not. LSL3, like LSL6 and 7, is a very humerous and silly game. LSL3, on the other hand also had an interesting plot, that was not only serious, but still filled with a lot of good humor. That's why I find LSL3 to be better than the "plot-less" games in the series.
