Default Please welcome our new writers!

Some staff announcements for you, our wonderful readers.

First of all, Tom King will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from our staff. He's been a very faithful and awesome part of our staff for well over a year now, contributing reviews of Nightlong, Full Moon in San Francisco, Journey to the Center of the Earth, RHEM, and many others, as well as being our designated children's adventure correspondent. He's been a pleasure to work with and I personally wish him luck on the endeavors that are pulling him away from writing (which I will leave for him to discuss publicly).

Since Tom was so darn cool, it took three new writers to replace him! Please join me in welcoming the following to our staff as official Adventure Gamers peons writers.

Kirk Latimer, whose first work is currently the featured article on our front page. Kirk is a published writer and an English professor and, in his first week here, bought a copy of a TAC game even though he was getting a free review copy. Now that's loyalty to the cause! (and pretty dumb, but he'll learn)

Troy Hoshor, better known to forumites as Bard09. Troy is a college student from the beautiful Pacific Northwest that yours truly also calls home, although his travels will soon take him to Canada. Troy promises to contribute some non-traditional articles to the site (i.e. not reviews, previews, or interviews), which we're sorely in need of.

Finally, Jack Allin, or Singer as you all know him. Jack has sworn to change his forum name in order to avoid confusion with me--such confusion would only be to his detriment, after all. Jack brings writing experience and a fantastic breadth of adventure experience to the site. And, in reality, I've been hoping to hire someone named "Jack" for a long time.

You will certainly be seeing the works of all three of these on our site over the next few months. Please join me in welcoming them. And by the way, Kirk, Troy, and Jack, I like my coffee black with two sugars. Now get back to work.

I am sorry to see Tom taking a leave for a while, but life makes choices.

But such a great new group.

Really pleased to see you got Jack on the staff. Congrats and can't wait to read all your new writing here.

Guess my references checked out.

Spoiler:
Thanks, Mom!

This is the first time I've ever had to change the name to protect the innocent BEFORE writing anything, though. R.I.P. "Singer" - we hardly knew ye.

Great debut from Kirk recently, and Troy's a terrific choice, so two out of three ain't bad.

Welcome. Too bad none of you know that Adventure Gamers will close its doors in a week's time... Sorry to break these news now. Stinger knows noting about that.

It's been fun while it lasted.

I have been a lurker on this site for some time now and emerge from the nebulous regions of cyberspace to say congrats to AG's three new writers.

I have had the pleasure in the past of reading Jack's reviews and look forward to reading more of his well-chosen words on adventure games and anything else, for that matter.

Great news!

I admit, a sock has been put in it, possibly by Kingz.
