If you liked Da Vinci, it's very similar (classic to the bone, but smart and well polished, but sadly too short). So go play it!

I don't think it was (Jack mentions it in his E3 report after all). It's out in France, though.

Ninth: Secrets of Da Vinci is, gameplaywise, closer to Echo than to "ad-verne-tures", isn't it?

Well, having seen my Dad play through quite a bit of Voyage, and based on what I've read of Echo, I'd be tempted to say it's really closer to RTMI (except that you can't combine items in your inventory). I mean, you spend most of the game fixing machines, making cannon powder, mixing chemicals, etc. There are a few puzzles where you do things 'inside' drawings (which is something I understand was an important gameplay element in Echo), but it's not really an important part of the game. And there are a few self-contained logic puzzles.

But Ninth will be indeed be able to answer that better than I.

EDIT: Having played Voyage during the weekend, I can confirm that Da Vinci is much closer to RTMI than to this one (I like all three anyway).

I haven't played Echo, so I can't comment on Echo/Da Vinci, but in terms of gameplay and atmosphere it feels exactly like RTMI and Voyage (probably closer to Voyage, really).

Oh, and it's great. 8/10. Sweet, fun, polished, but short.

I seem to be asking these sorts of irritating questions too often, but does anyone know of anywhere that sells this and ships to Australia for a reasonable price? None of my usual choices seem to stock it anymore.

Ah, that menu, yes. Brings back very fond memories. Truly one of my favourite games of all time.

If you have an EB Games nearby, you should be able to pick up a copy there. If it's not in store, they should be able to order you one. (Unless they have stopped selling that in the last two weeks or so). It is called Jules Verne Journey to the Moon here.
