Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Mon 29 January 2007

This screen is from a Hungarian (I think) version of the game.

I've played almost all of the games (except one) from this company (Kheops) and I've had a blast with all of them. While this is a first person game, I never felt very alone as the island was very alive. This particular scene is near the end of the game and I really liked this puzzle. It was a fun room to explore and it meshed well with my scientific background.

The one thing I find myself doing with the inventory heavy Kheops games is meticulously organizing the inventory on each page according to type (I find this kind of fun). I also like what they do in lieu of cut scenes in their games as well.

The puzzles/challenges in this game could be dealt with in different ways. I liked that aspect. Some day I'll replay it to get a higher score.

I also always sort my inventory. In TSoDV I arranged it: special items, tools (this one should have been divided into two..), food, like the milk and corn and such and other things.

I had some trouble with that puzzle, especially since it took some time to figure out what it meant, I ended up doing the music puzzle instead..

I really liked the game until it killed me (grotto, shark..). and the robots freaked me out.. :S

I thought it was a bit silly that the game gave your more points for the music puzzle than for this one; the riddles were far more fun (and satisfying as an end puzzle).

And whether I sort my inventory depends on how much junk the game makes me carry. I really had to in Voyage, but in the other Kheops games I usually didn't (and anyway sorting is so 1990; you tag and search nowadays ).
