Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Mon 12 February 2007

I have played this game more than once and I consider the ending cut scene of this age (Amateria) to be the best ending scene ever... ever. When I play, I save right before I do the last part of the puzzle just to watch it more than once. I'm not a roller coaster fan (or rides like it) so maybe that's why I like this so much. It's virtual coaster fun.

That and I love the atmosphere of the entire age, the moodiness, the storms and the organic quality of the place combined with the mechanical elements. I should say I liked the puzzles too. They were fun to figure out.

....the best ever.

It's quite fun, a game that pleasantly guides you through all the puzzles giving more than enough clues for every one. Maybe the story lacks the esoterical layers of other entries in this series, but this is something that not only does not bother me... I thank the developers for it. Is there a DVD version available?

Oh yes, that was an amazing ride. I've started a replay of all the Myst games. And Exile is up next.

are the myst games MAINLY about rendered graphics? or are they quite adventuresome and fun?

The latter. Though this particular Myst game is heavier on "render" than the rest, you have to solve puzzles and traverse some ages to get there.
