Default Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Tue 13th February 2007

Hmmmm... Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun. One of the most annoying game characters ever (but, in her case, that was on purpose).

I first played this game a couple of months ago. While I thought it wasn't especially great, I tend to think the review was a bit harsh. It may not have been tremendously innovative gameplay-wise, but the game was lots of fun.

I think that in its first section, it's one of the best classical adventure ever made. Funny in its crudeness, beautiful, wonderfully acted, and with truly ingenious puzzles. It is a pleasure to talk to everyone, and it is great to see the result of your actions. Without any doubt, a masterpiece, though its second section is a bit more hurried.

I've only played the demo of this excellent game.

Christopher Lloyd is one of my alltime favourite actors.

PS. Yay! 2500 posts.

Yeah, I played through this back in the day and agree it's not brilliant or anything, but definately entertaining to play. Lots of sequel potential too.

Yeah, I personally consider the AG review of Toonstruck one of the wrongest in the site history. The puzzles were extremely fun (...if not for everyone's tastes. I imagine someone who hasn't watched a lot of old cartoons and/or is not familiar with English proverbs could consider many of the puzzles too silly), and so were the characters (gotta love Carecrow and the Warp & Woof duo, especially). Sometimes it's just enough.

Why hadn't Richard Hare ever made anything else adventure-y?

About the annoyance that was Fluffy: I turned the speakers down every time I had to walk through that screen.
