The other changes are simply incidental. BASS was just announced and is highly anticipated, so it got added immediately. SM2 will be kept at #1 for a short time for posterity.

Let me clarify a few things:

1. There was a miscommunication that led to BASS2 getting added to the list. I try to stick firmly to only updating the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, just so that we're not randomly moving games around based on how our coffee tastes each morning. BASS2 is off for now, and we'll evaluate where it will debut (officially) when we update on March 25th.

2. SF is exactly right: this is NOT the "how good I believe the games will be when they come out" list. It's a list that measures our editorial excitement about upcoming adventure games.

3. The Westerner is still on the list because it has not had an English language release, which is the criteria. And also, because 99% of the people who've talked about it think it's awesome.

4. We've decided to leave Sam & Max 2 in the #1 spot until E3. It seemed to us to be a fitting tribute, and we want to make sure we don't easily discard the game's memory.

5. Remixor is fired.

6. Everyone make sure you don't take this too seriously.

We have a lot of fun with this list, and hope that you guys have fun disputing it and anticipating the changes...but just make sure we all know this is all pretty much a goof.

Ok then, I think I'm going to go fetch my sword and grant myself an honorable death.

Or perhaps I'll just keep on saying how much I dislike the game.
Anyway, I hope this bloody game is released soon so that you review it and finally see how much it sucks...

I guess this makes me impatient too.
